Welcome to KidzLight, operated by Manifest Works LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a faith-based organization organized under the laws of New York State. By accessing or using our platform at kidzlight.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Manifest Works LLC. Please read them carefully.

About the Platform

KidzLight is an educational platform that helps children learn Bible stories through interactive content, quizzes, activities, lesson plans, and ministry tools. Our content is designed for children ages 3–12 and their families, churches, and ministry organizations. The platform is intended to supplement — not replace — personal Bible study, church attendance, and family devotions.

Eligibility and User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account and agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or your household.
• By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older, or that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Parents and guardians are solely responsible for supervising their children's use of the platform and for all activity that occurs under their account.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to keep that information current.
• We reserve the right to refuse account registration or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms.

Subscriptions, Payments, and Auto-Renewal

• KidzLight offers a free access tier and paid membership plans (Family Membership and Church Membership), billed on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe, Inc.
• Auto-Renewal Notice (N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law § 527): Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
• You will receive a reminder notice before any annual subscription renews. Monthly subscriptions renew without separate advance notice.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period; you retain access to premium features until that date.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as determined by us in our sole discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of the charge.
• Organization/Church subscriptions cover all active members of the organization at no additional per-person cost. The organization owner is responsible for all subscription payments and for managing member access.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase to current subscribers before the change takes effect.
• All prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout as required by law.

Content and Intellectual Property

• All content on KidzLight — including stories, quizzes, activities, lesson plans, images, certificates, and ministry tools — is owned by or licensed to Manifest Works LLC and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use platform content for personal, family, or church educational and ministry purposes only.
• You may print or download content for non-commercial use within your household, church, or ministry. Redistribution, resale, or commercial exploitation of any platform content without prior written permission from Manifest Works LLC is strictly prohibited.
• Direct Scripture quotations used on this platform are taken from the New King James Version (NKJV), Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc., and/or the New Living Translation (NLT), Copyright © 1996, 2004, 2015 by Tyndale House Foundation. Used by permission. All rights reserved. Story descriptions and quiz content are child-friendly paraphrases and are not direct quotations.
• The KidzLight name, logo, and platform design are trademarks of Manifest Works LLC. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Acceptable Use

When using KidzLight, you agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable federal, state, or local law, including but not limited to New York State law
• Attempt to access, alter, or interfere with other users' accounts or data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation, servers, or security
• Share account credentials with unauthorized persons outside your household or organization
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, copy, or extract content from the platform
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the platform
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization
• Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content through the platform

Church and Organization Accounts

• Organization administrators are responsible for managing their members and ensuring all members comply with these Terms.
• Members added to an organization account share the organization's subscription benefits while they remain active members.
• Organization owners are solely responsible for subscription payments and timely member management. Removing a member immediately revokes their shared access.
• By adding a member by email address, the organization administrator represents they have authority to grant that person access and that the person has agreed to these Terms.

AI-Assisted Content

Some educational content on KidzLight — including Bible story descriptions, quiz questions, and activity suggestions — is created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. All AI-assisted content is reviewed for biblical accuracy and age-appropriateness before being made available on the platform. Artificial intelligence is used solely as a content creation tool; no personal user data, including information about children, is shared with any AI service. Direct scripture quotations are drawn from established Bible translations (New King James Version or New Living Translation) and are not AI-generated.

Electronic Records and Signatures (NY ESRA)

Pursuant to the New York Electronic Signatures and Records Act (ESRA), N.Y. State Tech. Law § 301 et seq., you agree that your use of the platform and any electronic acceptance of these Terms constitutes a valid electronic signature and agreement to be bound by these Terms. You consent to receive notices, agreements, and disclosures from us in electronic form via the email address on your account or through the platform interface.

Disclaimer of Warranties

KidzLight is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. While we strive to provide accurate, faith-based educational content, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of any content. Content is designed to supplement — not replace — personal Bible study, church attendance, and family devotion.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable New York law, Manifest Works LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the platform. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) fifty dollars ($50.00). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if your account is used in a manner that could harm other users, the platform, or Manifest Works LLC. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination: (1) your license to use the platform immediately ends; (2) access to premium features ceases; and (3) we will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations that accrued prior to termination.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation for a period of at least 30 days before pursuing other legal remedies. To initiate this process, send written notice of the dispute to [email protected]. Nothing in this section limits your right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within New York State, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights of any user as provided by applicable consumer protection laws.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where feasible, by notifying registered users via email. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the platform and may close your account.
